In February next year, the fighting game sequel The King of Fighters XV will be available – then also in an extensive special edition. You can find out what exactly is in the Omega Edition here.
SNK announced some time ago that the fighting game series with The King of Fighters XV would continue on February 17, 2022. While the game will also be available for the PC, the console version for PS5, PS4 and Xbox Series X / S will also be available as a special Omega Edition.
The special edition of the Beat’em-Up officially announced today will not only have all the game content for the 39 playable characters, because it is aimed at fans of the franchise and also has other goodies on offer.
Specifically, the Omega Edition includes:
- Hauptspiel The King of Fighters XV
- 3 Lithografien
- Soundtrack
- 119-page artbook
- Special slipcase
- Team Pass 1 (Team DLC 1 & Team DLC 2)
- Terry “Garou: MotW” DLC Costume
- Leona “Classic Leona” DLC-Kostüm
The King of Fighters XV relies on the classic 3v3 team fight system, but also introduces Shatter Strike as a new game mechanic to counter enemy attacks. In addition, you get an improved Max mode and the Max mode (Quick) at hand. The new Rush feature enables combos to be executed by quickly pressing attack buttons.
The title will be available from February 17, 2022 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X / S and PC (Windows 10, Steam, Epic Games Store).
PlayStation players can look forward to an open beta test phase in The King of Fighters XV.
