Players waiting for the launch of The Last of Us Part II next June 19 they have a pending task in this month and a half remaining: release at least 100 GB of hard disk space his PS4. The official american playstation page claims that that's the size of the game installation in physical format, what will come in two Blu-ray discs (something that Naughty Dog already confirmed), as it already happened with titles like Red Dead Redemption 2
When Naughty Dog presented The Last of Us Part II to the press last September they stated that It would be the "most ambitious and long game in 35 years" of the study, which is corroborated by the size of the game installation. Neil Druckmann, director of the title, said that "to tell this kind of story, the game had to be huge."
The next PlayStation 4 exclusive has been twice delayed. The first, barely a month after announcing the launch date, when delays from February 21 to May 29. The developers argued that they didn't have enough time "to bring the entire game to the level of polish we could call Naughty Dog quality."
The second delay occurred earlier this month and the reason is the same one that is plaguing the video game industry and the world at large. The pandemic of COVID-19 caused disruptions in logistics plans Sony to be able to distribute the game globally, which caused it to be indefinitely delayed along with Iron Man VR. This week the new release date was announced: 19th of June
So the other PlayStation exclusive that was going to be released that month, Ghost of Tsushima, is delayed a few weeks: from June 26 to July 17th.
