Pay-TV broadcaster Sky releases a new trailer for “The Last Of Us”. The trailer shows Joel and Ellie’s perilous journey. On the run, they not only encounter helpful people. You are threatened by malicious individuals and you also need to protect yourself from the mutants.
The trailer is not yet available with German dubbing, but the new scenes give you a pretty good impression of what to expect from Joel and Ellie. New enemies, new friends and of course a lot of mutants.
The story of “The Last Of Us” takes place twenty years after modern civilization was destroyed. Joel, a jaded survivor, is hired to smuggle 14-year-old girl Ellie out of a oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon turns into a brutal and heartbreaking journey as the two must cross the United States together and fight to survive together.
The Last Of US is based on the video game of the same name developed by Naughty Dog exclusively for the PlayStation. Craig Mazin (“Chernobyl”) and Neil Druckmann (The Last Of Us video game) wrote the screenplay and served as executive producers.
The drama series “The Last Of Us” will be available on the night of January 16, 2023 parallel to the US broadcast on HBO on the WOW streaming service and on Sky Q. It will be broadcast with one episode per week.
The nine episodes are available either in the original or in the German dubbing and with either German or English subtitles. The series is expected to be available in UHD on the Sky Atlantic channel from March.
The star cast includes Pedro Pascal as Joel (Mandalorian), Bella Ramsey as Ellie (Game of Thrones), Gabriel Luna as Tommy, Anna Torv as Tess (Mindhunter). We have described the cast and the roles to you.
