Gaming News The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild: A mod improves the durability of weapons
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Modder is a story that progresses, with each contributing their stone to build the personalization of Link’s adventure. It must be said that the title gives free rein to the imagination, as is the case with those who created the mod called Second Wind.
Second wind, a long way
Today we’re focusing on an update for a mod made by a team that currently consists of 50 developers, including Waikuteru, the man who just revealed details of the new content through information from our colleagues at Eurogamer. In particular, this team has redesigned the first Sanctuaries of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the ones that originally allowed us to understand the general functioning of these “mini-dungeons” that punctuate the whole adventure. We invite you to watch one of the videos that Waikuteru has published below to get an overview of the changes made to this unofficial Breath of the Wild expansion. We also invite you to check out Waikuteru’s YouTube channel if you want a broader view of his work on this mod.
Something new and weapons that last
These recent additions also bring their own quests, non-playable characters and weapons, and mammoths to roam the snowy regions. But that’s not all, the Second Wind mod also adds new mechanics like weapon crafting, made possible through the services of blacksmiths and access to anvils, in response to the lack of weapon durability in Breath of the Wild. Regarding this last point, some players were able to express their dissatisfaction during a large poll organized a while ago by the Japanese company, which asked users of the latest installment in the series to answer a few questions. Anyone who took part in this poll can attest that Nintendo took a keen interest in fan expectations for a future installment in the series, particularly the Dungeons issue – given the sometimes mixed reception of the Divine Creatures – and with a free section to indicate possible complaints. Will the Japanese company take into account certain comments and adjust the content of the next The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2? For now the mystery remains.
