The wait is almost over for Zelda fans, because in almost exactly a month, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be released for the Switch. Nintendo has now released the third and final trailer for the game in advance – and finally shows Ganondorf.
Nintendo kept its word and released the third and final trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom late this Thursday afternoon. The video, which is almost four minutes long, provides numerous new and deeper insights into the supposed blockbuster for the switch.
Among other things, the new trailer finally shows Ganondorf for the first time. This is all the more important as his appearance for Tears of the Kingdom has not yet been confirmed, which has now changed.
The anti-hero first appeared in the original The Legend of Zelda in 1986 on the NES. As a villain, he was already trying to conquer Hyrule back then. The character subsequently appeared in most offshoots of the popular franchise, continuing to fill the role as the main antagonist.
In addition to Ganondorf, new gameplay can also be seen in the trailer. This also includes some other new enemies that Link will face in the new title. Incidentally, the video also shows various places that were already represented in Breath of the Wild, including Hateno Village and Hyrule Castle.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be released on May 12, 2023 for the Nintendo Switch; the title is considered the most important game for Nintendo this year.
