Call of Duty fans? Activision’s flagship FPS is trying to expand its community with a new free game, but one that is very strong and has nothing to be ashamed of compared to other titles.
Despite turbulence and not always the highest popularity, Call of Duty remains one of the front runners in the FPS universe. And for four years, the series managed to bring together millions of players without even releasing new games. How ? With the battle royale Warzone, which has established itself and taken a piece of the Fortnite cake, PUBG… A success that has continued on other platforms since today.
A new free Call of Duty game for 120 players!
What do PUBG and Fortnite have in common that CoD Warzone didn’t have before? A version that can be taken anywhere and therefore playable under any circumstances. But that’s it, after testing phases in a restricted panel, Call of Duty Warzone Mobile is available on iOS and Android devices. A reduced edition? Not at all. Activision’s Battle Royale features clashes for up to 120 players on maps already available in console and PC versions, such as Verdansk and Rebirth Island. “Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile has the highest number of online players of any mobile FPS battle royale game.”
And it’s true that the publisher has pulled out all the stops, because this edition refuses nothing. Not even cross-progression with the Warzone console and Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. What does that mean? All weapons, operators and even Battle Pass XP from these two games are also valid in Warzone Mobile. Progression is fully connected, so you can easily start a game on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S or PC and then continue playing outside. You lose absolutely nothing, and this also applies to purchases you make through the shop.
The differences are really technical and of course also in terms of controls. Call of Duty Warzone Mobile has to adapt to touchscreens with different options. For even more convenience, it is even possible to connect a controller directly.
