Marvel’s heroes and villains are about to land in Ubisoft’s latest big game. Here’s what we know about this unlikely collaboration.
Nothing should surprise us anymore, and yet… In recent years, crazy collaborations like the others have become commonplace. Fortnite paved the way for crossover Unlikely, but we clearly weren’t expecting to see Star Wars or Marvel in this very big action RPG.
The encounter between Assassin’s Creed and Marvel
Here is a meeting of the third kind. A dataminer has indeed made a most surprising discovery. As fans wait impatiently to discover the future of the license with Assassin’s Creed Infinity and AC Rift, Ubisoft is secretly preparing an unexpected collaboration for one of the legacy games. According to this source, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla would receive costumes centered around Marvel and Disney licenses. Yes, Eivor will subvert himself as Iron Man, you read that right.
Dig through the game files that dataminer Pedder actually found several items and outfits in the colors of Star Wars and Marvel heroes. For example, we see an outfit heavily inspired by Iron Man that, according to the source code, could shoot laser beams thanks to its chest armor. A white version of another skin more closely resembles a Star Wars Stormtrooper. A youtubeur also unearthed another outfit a while ago that referred to Thanos. The assassin could don a pair of jeweled gauntlets with a different ability each time they were used. Whether these cosmetic items will one day be put to good use in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla remains to be seen.
