As confirmed by the media VarietyLegendary Pictures is already actively developing the third Dune movie, titled The Messiah, which will once again be directed by Villeneuve. After the enormous success of the second part, it was a matter of time before this highly anticipated production continued.
Regarding the development of the film, hardly anything has been commented, so it is likely that Denis Villeneuve wants to take its time so that its latest film in this universe is even more ambitious than its predecessors, something quite complicated given the epic proportions of Dune: Part 2
