That’s what theHunter is all about
Hunting takes place in a hunting simulation, and theHunter is no exception. But the detailed representation of the hunt then requires a few words. In the basic game, you go stalking with your hunter in one of two hunting areas: Europe and North America. The Hirschfelden map, for example, measures a total of 65 square kilometers – so there is plenty of space.
And for long walks! In order not to scare your prey, you should avoid running and instead move slowly. This is the only way for red deer and foxes to hear you when the shot is fired. Accordingly, you have to have the peace and quiet so that you can hunt successfully in theHunter.
You sometimes sneak through the undergrowth for half an hour, check animal droppings and hoof marks for freshness and direction of travel and always keep an eye on the wind in order to avoid being thunderstorm by your attentive prey at an early stage.
From a large selection of rifles, shotguns, revolvers and compound bows, you can choose the right caliber for every type of game and adjust your shots so that a single shot is as fatal as possible. After all, as a responsible hunter you should protect the animals from unnecessary suffering.
By the way, theHunter made me an enthusiastic virtual hunter myself:
theHunter: Call of the Wild
I simulate the hunt because I don’t want to hurt animals
Suitable for
To be able to have fun with theHunter: Call of the Wild, you have to be patient. So if you like to go for a virtual walk, don’t let yourself be rushed and prefer to enjoy a beautiful and detailed nature play world, you could warm up to the hunting sim.
By the way, theHunter is most fun in co-op with friends. If you know hunting enthusiasts, just take them with you on the stalk!
In addition, you can learn a lot about the animal world, their behavior and their environment through the realistic claim. But you notice that the developer Avalanche subordinates realism to fun in some places, which certainly serves the purpose.
After all, games should first and foremost be fun. But also simulation fans who prefer challenging gameplay should enjoy theHunter: Call of the Wild for a long time. Because there is a lot to discover, unlock and learn many new hunting skills.
