Gearbox has been updating many things in the game, the last DLC that the developers added was Moxxi's hit to Jackpot the Handsome, then a special event called Maliwan Blacksite was going to arrive at the end of 2019, but unfortunately they didn't launch it on that date due to some technical problems that arose. Now we can finally see this event very soon, as the company has announced that it is ready for players to join the new challenges that await them.
The information of this new event has been shared through the
The "Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite" scaling event will be live from January 16 to January 30. Check the hotfix notes for more info.

Thank you all for your patience as we work on the scaled Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite event. We were unable to present it during the New Year, but we are looking to start the event next week! From January 16 to January 30, you can expect a slightly easier Takedown while trying to get as much loot as you can! If you wanted to experience Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite but it was difficult for you to progress or find a party, this is the perfect opportunity to jump and wreak havoc on Maliwan's most elite soldiers and robots. After January 30, we will return the event to its expected difficulty level.
The event already existed previously, only that version has very difficult challenges that can only be overcome by players who are already at an advanced level of Borderlands 3. As Gearbox says, from January 16 to January 30, players will have more chances to win and overcome the Maliwan Blacksite challenge.
