What can the new Google Pixel 3 Watch do?
The Made by Google event not only brought about a new smartphone series: the Pixel Watch also received an upgrade with the third generation.
In contrast to its predecessors, the Pixel Watch 3 is available for the first time in two different sizes. We show you everything else that has changed in the following overview.
Pixel Watch 3: Technical specifications
As mentioned at the beginning, the Pixel Watch 3 will be available in two sizes in the future. These are the common 41 mm and 45 mm variants.

The display is said to be shatterproof, and the Pixel Watch 3 also has IP68 certification.
Without a strap, the watch weighs 31 grams. The case is made of 100 percent recycled aluminum.
For the first time, there are two different sizes of a Google smartwatch.
Inside the Pixel Watch 3 is the Qualcomm SW5100, the successor to the previous Snapdragon chip. This is supported by a Cortex M33 coprocessor and two GB of RAM.
The internal capacity is still 32 GB. The software is updated to WearOS 5.0, and as always, three years of updates are included.
The battery capacity of the Pixel Watch 3 is 307 mAh (41 mm) and 420 mAh (45 mm). According to the manufacturer, this is enough for 24 hours of battery life with the always-on display activated; in energy saving mode, this value is extended by half.
Google estimates the loading speed depending on the model as follows:
- In approximately 24–28 minutes at 50 percent
- In approximately 35–50 minutes at 80 percent
- In approximately 60–80 minutes at 100 percent
The smaller time specification refers to the 41 mm version of the Pixel Watch 3.

Pixel Watch 3: Software features and sensors
In terms of sensors, not much has changed compared to its predecessors. GPS, compass and altimeter are still available; the health sensors include the blood oxygen saturation sensor and the cEDA sensor from Fitbit.
Google promises a constantly improving
Smartwatch. Measurements such as daily form or cardio load should support the development of your workout routines.
Fitbit Premium – which is free for half a year when you buy the smartwatch – also plays a role here. The Gemini AI is designed to provide personalized running recommendations, among other things.
The new fitness features are aimed particularly at running enthusiasts.

The prices of the Pixel Watch 3 have also been set. The recommended retail prices are usually based on the LTE and Bluetooth versions.
