ZEVENT 2024 is in full swing and the prize pool has already reached an important level. Things seem to be going pretty well in this highly anticipated new charity event, one of the biggest of the year.
After skipping a year following a pretty shaken ZEVENT 2022, Zerator, Dach and more than a hundred streamers are doing it again this year.
If there was a concert on September 5, the French-speaking Twitch scene has been abuzz since Friday, September 6, around 6 p.m. ZEVENT 2024 is being launched. A marathon where video games and good humor take center stage for the benefit of a charity event. The latter focuses on five different associations this year. The model has changed, but it is basically the same winning team, and it is already a success.
Zevent 2024 has been redesigned but is still a hit!
ZEVENT 2022 broke all records. A concert, more than 50 streamers on site and more than 10 million dollars raised, against the backdrop of Twitter drama and some unfortunate skirmishes. Zerator announced from the beginning that a model change was needed at ZEVENT. And that’s exactly what’s happening today with the 2024 vintage.
“Smarter” at the beginning, the event opened on Thursday evening with a new concert, where LittleBigWhale and PV Nova once again shone. They were obviously not alone, as several groups followed one another.
Since Friday it’s been all about playing, fooling around and collecting donations.
This year, just over thirty streamers are present. All gathered in a huge decorated room in Montpellier. Zerator, the master of ceremonies, is surrounded by his whole group of friends and more. Antoine Daniel, JDG, AvaMind, HortyUnderscore, Baghera Jones, Tonton, Samuel Etienne, Helydia or even Etoiles and Domingo. They are all there. Other streamers have also been invited to the party, online, from their own premises or their rooms. Some have even set up a small setup for the occasion. This is a first this year: ZEVENT is also taking place online with nearly a hundred partner streamers. You can find the long list on the Event website
Everyone plays and has fun for the five associations: Les Bureaus du Cœur, Solidarité Paysans, Secours Populaire, Chapter 2 and Cop1.
The prize pool has already exploded and has exceeded the million mark
And if the streamers and viewers have a lot of fun, the donations are already numerous. If the launch is less nervous than in 2022, ZEVENT 2024 has already raised more than 1.1 million dollars (1,131,080 dollars at the time of writing) in just a few hours. A simply enormous result that once again establishes ZEVENT as an important and, above all, necessary charity event.
