For several years now, the iPhone SE has been an inexpensive gateway into the Apple universe. However, the current version from 2022 can no longer keep up with modern cell phones. For example, it still has a classic home button. But there is reason to be happy, because the next budget iPhone could soon be on the shelves. At the same time, the iPad 11 and a new iPad Air are also expected.
It has long been suspected that the iPhone SE 4 should appear in spring of this year. Thanks to a post on X, there is now evidence of a more precise time period. According to the post, the new devices will ship with iOS 18.3. This suggests that they should appear before the planned iOS 18.4 update in April. The Profile had 9to5Mac according to a high hit rate for rumors in the past.
Also that one well-known Apple insider Mark Gurman reports that the iPads and iPhone SE 4 will launch before the iOS 18.4 update. He also contradicts the assumption that the devices will appear together with iOS 18.3 at the end of January. However, the expert is certain: the new products will be available in April, before the iOS 18.4 update. If everything goes according to plan, the official announcement could come in March or early April.
That's what's new
Visually, the iPhone SE should be very reminiscent of the iPhone 14, but with only one camera on the back. The powerful A18 chip from the iPhone 16 will also function as a processor.
The iPad 11, on the other hand, is expected to be equipped with an A17 Pro chip, which will also support Apple Intelligence AI in the future. Things remain exciting with the new iPad Air: just last year the model was comprehensively updated with the M2 chip.
