Filming for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 is in full swing. Amazon Prime Video has now announced who will direct the new episodes of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. These are three female directors who are already experienced in the fantasy genre.
- Charlotte Brändström (“The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” Season 1)
- Louise Hooper (“The Witcher”)
- Sanaa Hamri (“The Wheel of Time”)
Four of the eight episodes of the second season of “The Lord of the Rings” series are directed by Charlotte Brändström. She had already gained experience in Middle-earth with ep isodes 6 and 7 of the first season and is also a well-established figure in other fantasy series thanks to her work on “The Witcher”.
Brändström’s colleague “The Witcher” takes over for two episodes of the second season: Louise Hooper. The director was not only able to gain fantasy experiences in the witcher universe on Netflix, but also on “Sandman”.
The last of the bunch is Sanaa Hamri, who is also directing two episodes of the second season of The Rings of Power. Hamri had previously worked with Amazon on the fantasy epic The Wheel of Time.
A start date for “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” Season 2 has not yet been set. But before 2024 it will probably be nothing. Here it is a matter of waiting and drinking tea – and possibly watching other series in the Amazon Prime Video novelty program to pass the time.
