Hellana Taylor, the witch’s voice, will not be returning in Bayonetta 3. An absence that recently turned into a scandal at the initiative of the actress. But we are now witnessing a reversal of the situation. According to sources at very reputable journalist Jason Schreier (via Bloomberg), this figure is far from the truth. In fact, PlatinumGames would have bid between $3000 and $4000… but per recording session. The Japanese studio would have needed her at least five times, or at least a total salary of $15,000, which isn’t quite the same anymore.
An amount that would not have been satisfactory for the actress. She would have asked for a six-figure sum, plus pr ofits from the sale of Bayonetta 3. The studio would have declined and started the process to cast another voice, that of Jennifer Hale (MGS), who emerged from her silence.
Subsequently, PlatinumGames would have tried to halve the pear with a cameo between $3,000 and $4,000, the price of a session that Hellena Taylor would have rejected again.
