The Sims 4 Announces First Expansion in Nearly a Year, High School Age

The High School Years expansion comes after the Werewolf game pack released in June, but it’s the first expansion to be added to The Sims 4 in nearly a year. The last expansion that players can buy is Cottage Living, which releases in July 2021.

Needless to say, there’s a lot to be excited about in this expansion, and players can now send their teenage Sims to Copperdale High School for a true high school experience.

Copperdale is a whole new world that includes a high school (duh), library, principal’s home (mansion), and your typical student hangout, a thrift store that sells boba tea. There’s also a theme park with lots of attractions for your Sims to ride!

However, Copperdale’s main attraction has to be the high school itself. After all, this is where your teenage Sims will spend most of their time. Not only can they take classes and take exams, but they can also be class clowns in various school-themed pranks. Teen Sims can also participate in extracurricular activities, and if they feel particularly naughty, they can sneak out of the room after dark to hang out with other Teen Sims.

The pack itself feels very similar to the previous expansion, Discover University, which allowed you to send young people to higher education. High School Years seems to promise the same fun, but with more extras that fit the high school teen experience.

In Maxis’ announcement, the developer also detailed that the free update will be coming to the game alongside the High School Age expansion pack. This update will finally introduce body hair to the game. We’ve seen pronouns added to The Sims 4 recently, so it’s great to see Maxis come up with more ways to make the game as inclusive as possible.

This update will allow you to select body hair, practice grooming, and it will also grow over time.

The Sims 4 High School Years expansion pack and free body hair update will be released on July 28th for £35/$40/$40.
