The Sims 4 is releasing its next base game update March 14, and if you’re a Simmer, there’s a lot to get excited about. This free update finally introduces a whole new life stage, Infants, but Maxis revealed that’s not all there is to it.
A previous free update to The Sims 4 finally gave players the ability to choose their Sims’ sexual orientation and pronouns. We also saw that incest was accidentally added to the game as well, but we won’t dwell on that.
This time around, Maxis is trying to be more inclusive by introducing more Create A Sim customization options, including scars, birthmarks, and even C-section scars.revealed Via the brand new trailerwhich also shows what a baby looks like in Create A Sim, we can see the various body markers the player can choose from.

The trailer shows different birthmarks at different life stages, stretch marks for teenage Sims, and C-section scars for later adult Sims. Maxis hasn’t detailed whether these customization options are only available for specific life stages, but we only have two weeks to find out for ourselves.
Matthew Fahey, lead designer of The Sims 4, later follow up new trailer There are some additional details. “Yes, they’ll be in the skin detail category,” and “Yes, you’ll be able to apply markers and tattoos.” So players will be able to apply birthmarks and scars to their Sims along with tattoos, which is a deliberate supplement.

While this free base game update will be released on March 14, avid Sims players can look forward to more on March 16, when the paid expansion for families, Grow Together, launches.
