Later this month, Lost Ark will get its first new class after the release in February with the spear bearer. But what can the martial artist, also known as Lance Master or Glaivier, who is extremely popular on both the Russian and Korean servers, do?

The spear bearer can do that
The first new class to come to Arkesia after February’s release is the Glaivier, known to players of the Russian version as the Lance Master.
The special thing about the spear bearer are her two different fighting positions, Focus
and Sturm
, in each of which she uses different weapons. She unleashes a hail of swift blows with the shorter spear, while unleashing powerful and deadly attacks with the longer spear.
But you don’t have to play both weapons, because with the right build you can also specialize in one of the two.

Strengths of the Lancer
Great coverage
In Lost Ark’s raids, ranged fighters often have it easier because they can fire their skills from anywhere and don’t have to pay as much attention to their positioning. If you don’t feel like constantly chasing the boss, the spear bearer might be the right class for you.
Especially in the focus stance, her attacks offer a wide range and you don’t have to worry about hitting the boss on his back either. There’s even a talent that increases critical hit rate if you stay at range and only hit the enemy with your spearhead.
High damage
The martial artist’s punches can not only be aimed at the target from a long distance, but also pack a punch. This is especially because she can easily increase her critical hit chance through a variety of talents, engravings, and her identity ability. This also allows you to focus on other values such as specialty or speed when equipping.
A notice: A patch of the Korean version is planned for the end of April, which should bring a damage nerf for the spear bearer. It is not yet known how strong this will be and in which variant the class will appear in our version.

Easy to play
The spear bearer offers a few perks that make her easier to play than other classes. On the one hand, there is her high mobility: not only does she have a high basic movement speed, but also a very short cooldown on her dodge skill (spacebar), which is only six seconds.
The long range already mentioned also simplifies handling. While other melee fighters constantly chase the boss and have to reposition themselves for backshots in order to land as many critical hits as possible, the spearman can deliberately ignore these disadvantages.
