Even before the Super Mario Bros. film hits German cinemas on April 5, 2023, fans can already hope for a successor (sequel) to the video game film. A post-credits scene hinted at by actor Chris Pratt gives reason for hope. He lends his voice to the plumber Mario in the original version.
Opposite the entertainment online magazine CBR Pratt confirms that this could hint at a potential successor. The scene could be a foretaste of an upcoming sequel and he is very excited about it, Pratt said.
He himself would most like to see a film adaptation of Luigi’s Mansion. The interview does not reveal to what extent this wish actually has anything to do with the post-credit scene. The producers of the film have not yet commented on how and if there will be a sequel to the Super Mario film.
