After Valheim was still THE hype game a few months ago, it has recently become a bit quiet about the Viking survival RPG. The developers were according to their new one Blog entry just too busy fixing the numerous bugs and issues brought to light by the huge number of players – until now!
The Iron Gate Studios have finally revealed when the long-awaited first big update Hearth & Home will be released and what you can expect there.
The innovations of the Hearth & Home update
Originally, according to their roadmap, the developers wanted to publish four content updates this year, but that won’t work. Instead, the Swedes want to concentrate fully on the first major expansion.
The following innovations await you in it:
-
New parts of the building - New cooking station extensions: Spice rack, butcher’s table and pots and pans
- New foods: A total of more than ten recipes, including eye cream, shocklate smoothie, various types of wolf meat and more.
- Plantable onions: With pretty onion flowers!

In addition, a new food system implemented, which puts more emphasis on the strengthening of health and endurance and so should make the choice of food depending on the play style more interesting
To this end, the developers have made some changes to how stamina / health affects your “stance” in combat. If you want to play a tank-strong, defensive Viking, you should stock up on life points now, as this improves your ability to deflect incoming hits and reduce damage.
When will Hearth & Home be released? As the developers announced, the big update will be in the 3rd quarter 2021 appear. An exact month, let alone an exact day, does not yet exist.
