CD Projekt Red announces delays for next-gen releases The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
According to the company, it decided to let its internal development team do the rest. As such, it is currently assessing the “scope of work to be done” and will therefore delay the Q2 release until further notice.
Last year, the company said the game was primarily developed by its external team, Sabre Interactive. It’s a company it’s worked with on Switch before, and has had updates in the past.
Announced during WitcherCon, the next-gen update to The Witcher 3 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S will be released as a full version, complete with some new items inspired by The Witcher Netflix series.
While full information on the DLCs will come later, it appears that one of the DLCs will be inspired by the clo thes Henry Cavill wore on the Netflix show.
Players who own the game on PS4 and Xbox One will be able to download the upgrade for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions for free. And, the extra content will also be available on all platforms.
We will update you as soon as possible. Thanks for your understanding. 2/2
