At the Game Awards 2024 there was finally a full trailer for The Witcher IV that revealed a lot. However, there is no specific information: On which systems will the role-playing game appear? CD Projekt Red simply doesn't want to reveal it at the moment.
At least one release system for The Witcher IV should be in place: the PC. Finally, there was a very clear hint in the trailer released during the Game Awards 2024. In the video it was written: “The cinematic trailer was pre-rendered in a customized version of Unreal Engine 5 on an unannounced NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPU.”

Also somehow a flex of the development studio. But while it's all well and good that PC gamers are catered for, players on PlayStation and Xbox are now worried about getting The Witcher IV on time for release. Which, by the way, has not yet been determined at the moment.
In an interview with colleagues from Eurogamer.net Game director Sebastian Kalemba kept a low profile. According to him, they work closely with Epic because the heavily customized Unreal Engine does have its pitfalls.
But don't worry, the team wants to at least support all platforms, as can be seen from his statement: “We obviously want to support all platforms – so PC, Xbox and Sony, right? – but I can't give you any more specific details at the moment. On In any case, it should be remembered that this is the first time we have created a pre-rendered film without post-production to show that we simply strive to achieve such quality in films as much as possible. This is my opinion: it is a good standard.”
Kalemba also emphasizes his point: The release of the trailer for The Witcher IV does not mark the start of the official marketing campaign. Rather, they wanted to introduce the new main character, show her mutation and finally reveal the name.
