Anyone who hoped for a brand new video game from CD Projekt RED will be disappointed: The development team continues to concentrate fully on the completion of Cyberpunk 2077 and has nothing new to announce regarding The Witcher. Instead of the Netflix series and the anime also scheduled for the streaming service, there is now another media implementation.
The comic book publisher Dark Horse has now announced a completely new comic series around The Witcher. To do this, they team up with CD Projekt RED and cooperate to develop the "The Witcher: Fading Memories" series. This new story about Geralt von Riva is scheduled to start on June 17th and will appear in a total of four episodes.
In the new comic series, Geralt's days as a monster hunter are coming to an end and he is looking for a new job. In the end, he accepts the contract offer from a small town called Towitz, but things are far from what they seem.
The new story is written by Bartosz Sztybor, the drawings are by Amad Mir. Evan Cagle is responsible for the cover of the first issue.
