Xbox definitely seems to be preparing something in secret, and there will no doubt be plenty of announcements to come in the coming weeks. Prepare for a big surprise.
Now that we are in 2024, it is time to take a look at what this new year has in store for us. We once again expect big surprises from certain publishers, such as Xbox. A few days ago we were informed that the latter was preparing a big event full of announcements. Nothing was certain until now, but the company has finally confirmed what we’ve all been waiting for. And be careful, big games are presented.
Xbox introduces the next Developer_Direct
Several people suggested that we would be entitled to a statement from Xbox later in the day, which was not lost on us. The meeting is scheduled for January 18th. In total, four major titles are entitled to a long presentation: Avowed, the new production from Obsidian Entertainment, Ara History Untold and Senua’s Saga Hellblade 2 and, above all, the big surprise of this line-up: the Indiana Jones game from Machine Games. It appears the adaptation is scheduled to be released this year, although we haven’t seen any in-game images yet. Xbox Direct should correct the situation next week.
Of the four games presented, it was Hellblade 2 that ultimately received the most media coverage, although it was primarily the technical aspect that was emphasized here. We hope a release date will be announced. Avowed, the role-playing game reminiscent of The Elder Scrolls, has been attracting the attention of fans of the genre since its announcement. A few short gameplay clips have been revealed, but ultimately we don’t know much.
In addition, after the Developer_Direct, Xbox will hand over to ZeniMax Online Studios, which will take care of another small event related to The Elder Scrolls Online. There’s a big reveal coming. So if you own the game, prepare accordingly. With a return to the Direct, like the Direct in January 2023, will there be a big surprise at the last moment?
A surprise announcement at Hi-Fi Rush?
At this time we cannot say that there will be a new “shadowdrop” (or surprise announcement) at Hi-Fi Rush. The latest leak says the opposite: the release date is a few weeks after the release of this famous mystery game. For now, it’s best to take all of this with a grain of salt. However, Xbox is probably up to something very interesting. Either way, we’ll be keeping busy with all of these announcements. So mark January 18, 2024 in your calendar.
