It’s Friday and that means: We’re looking forward to another weekend with lots of free promotions that let us try out exciting titles for free. This time you get, among other things, two really good co-op games, a complex puzzle box and there is also something for friends of cracking action.
So if you didn’t see anything in the current releases of the week (or you’re still having trouble with Call of Duty crashing), then have a look through the list of free games.
Highlight of the week: Warhammer: Vermintide 2

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 – Test Video: Co-op against Chaos
Genre: (Buy)-Action | developer: Fatshark | Release: March 8, 2018 | Free until: November 7, 7 p.m. (here is the offer)
Do you and your friends want to put the forces of chaos to flight? Or are you just looking for a motivating game with brutal hand-to-hand combat and carnage? Then Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is for you. In it you face off against hordes of armed skaven, dark knights and other spawn of chaos, armed to the gnaw teeth.
You choose your hero and a profession and then plunge into the wild battles alone or with up to three companions in co-op. The last major update was released in June 2022 and had even more nasty demon enemies in its luggage – you are guaranteed not to get bored in Vermintide 2. And if you’ve played your way through the official content, there’s still plenty of exciting stuff waiting for you in the Steam Workshop.
You don’t need to expect a particularly profound story here, and role-playing elements and tactical demands remain relatively shallow. Nevertheless, the game convinced us in the test because it’s just a lot of fun and has a high replay value. Here you get a thick package for free that you can keep permanently if you add it to your library.

Deep Rock Galactic: One of the best co-op games on Steam gets even bigger in Season 2
An absolute co-op highlight and one of GameStar editor Phil’s favorite games: Deep Rock Galactic is free to play on Steam over the weekend. You are a space dwarf on an important mission that will take you through highly dangerous and fully destructible environments. Hungry monsters, but also valuable treasures await you in the randomly generated (and very chic) caves, which are best explored together as a team. Each class has special abilities to dig tunnels, blast away walls or blast enemies.
Free to play until: 6. November 2022 (here’s the game)
Rising Storm 2: Vietnam
Hardcore shooter unsurprisingly set in the Vietnam War. A total of up to 64 players compete in Rising Storm 2: Vietnam for six different armies, you have over 20 maps and lots of historically accurate weapons to choose from. In our test you can read how impressive the battles are.

Epic is giving away the game for a week, if you get it in time you can keep it forever.
Free available until: Nov 10, 2022 4:59pm (here’s the game)
Filament
Are you in the mood for puzzles in space? Then grab Filament, which is currently available for free at Epic. In contrast to many similar games, the game does without horror elements, but instead presents you with challenging puzzles, through which you gradually uncover what happened to the missing crew of the spaceship Alabaster.
Free available until: Nov 10, 2022 4:59pm (here’s the game)

Destroy All Humans: Clone Carnage
Okay, Clone Carnage is actually a multiplayer DLC for Destroy All Humans and not a game in its own right. You can also play the standalone title on your own – although the game has received pretty bad reviews from players so far. Above all, the sparsely populated servers and the lack of content are often criticized. The Free2Play conversion is probably due to this and an attempt to revitalize the action game.
Free available until: From now on permanently Free2Play on Steam (this way to the game), not changed at Epic (yet?).
Is there anything for you in the free games this time? What free titles are you hoping for next week? Feel free to write us your opinion under the article.
