You can now order a set of Final Fantasy 7 characters based on the polygonal character model of the original game from the Square Enix store.
On PS1, they now look like incredible ropes, especially compared to how everyone changed in Final Fantasy 7 Remastered. Nonetheless, their retro look is still attractive, especially when they are eliminated and struggling with limited equipment.
There are a total of eight types available for collection, including Cloud, Tifa, Barret, Aerith, Red XIII, Sephiroth, and Reno. There is also a special hidden character, I will not destroy the secret here. If you want to know everything, the quick search will show everything.
You can book Final Fantasy 7 characters directly in the Square Enix stores in the following regions. One of the store pages suggested setting the release date to July 31, although it is unclear whether this is just a placeholder date.
Now, the products listed in the Square Enix store seem to imply that you received all eight digits when you purchased the product, but there is some stinging there. In fact, since they are packed in blind boxes, it is impossible to determine what they will receive. For example, this means that you may get multiple copies of Cloud and find that Sephiroth is still missing from your collection.
Therefore, your best option is to hope that some friends are willing to take out their cash to buy a set of gifts, and exchange any duplicate gifts between you. I also have no doubt that there will be places where you can trade with others online.
However, adding some randomness from Square Enix does feel a bit unkind. This does not include the "special" chaser "image", you may also be lucky enough to enter one of the blind boxes. In any case, many of us will desperately collect them.
