Steam's largest product launched in 2020 will continue to expand.
Horse Riding and Chopping 2: The King of Banners It has been a success story since it was introduced on Monday in Early Access. The game quickly became Steam's biggest game in 2020, defeating games like Doom Eternal and Walson: King of Chaos.
At launch, Bannerlord found a place in the top five of Steam's most active games. Unlike most game releases, the days after the release did not reduce game activity, but rather brought a big boost. According to the latest statistics, Bannerlord's number of concurrent players on Steam has reached nearly 220,000, a significant increase from the time of release.
This number has been achieved in the past 24 hours and may rise again in the next few days. Even so, Bannerlord still has enough space to grab the coveted best rest spot, just under the three-game winning streak of real estate in Dota 2, CS: GO and PUBG.
The game also received a "very positive" rating on Steam. All of these are self-published seemingly niche independent games.
