The Sims world has been at a major turning point for many years. The Sims 4 has switched to Free2Play and The Sims 5 has finally been officially announced under the name Project Rene. Nevertheless, this is far from the end for the current Sims part, because it still has some big plans before The Sims 5 appears.
Roadmap 2023: This awaits us this year in The Sims 4
1. A major update
There’s one thing about The Sims 4 that irks some in the community more than the confusing addon policy or the lack of pools at release – and that’s the horribly lifeless babies, which are little more than a poorly thought out decoration. That’s why there was great joy when the Sims 5 was announced as a baby update!
However, this is not, as originally thought, a fundamental renovation of the current stage of life, but a new intermediate stage between babies and small children – the infants. They can also move outside of their crib (exciting!) and are due to appear very soon (namely early 2023). More details about the new stage of life will follow.

2. Two new sets
The 5 euro DLCs with a handful of new clothes or furnishings have more or less replaced the tried and tested 10 euro accessory packs. Two new representatives of these mini-addons should also appear in 2023 and a picture from the roadmap teaser trailer could already give a first clue – here you can see a pair of underpants and a tube of toothpaste. So possible themes would be an underwear/pajama set and a bathroom set.
The teaser showed underwear and toothpaste for the two sets. Very cryptic.
3. A large expansion pack
The most exciting information is of course the new large expansion pack, which will probably bring new mechanics, a new neighborhood and a lot of new content, as always. And first indications suggest that EA could bring back what is probably the most popular expansion pack from The Sims 3: Joie de vivre, also known as Generations!

The addon brought the feeling of really accompanying a human life through the different stages of life. Toddler imaginary friends, countless clubs and societies, boarding schools, school trips, wild teenage rebels, first love, proms, family life, midlife crisis.
If the numerous hints and hints from EA really allude to a new generation addon, it could be a big bang before the release of The Sims 5. More information about all three contents will be available on January 31, 2023 in the next community stream give.
