To enjoy science fiction movies it is not necessary to resort only to some of the best releases that have been produced in recent years. A few decades ago other unforgettable productions came to cinemas, being Starman one of those great classics so masterful which is still worth it as much as the first day, so do not hesitate to give it a chance, taking advantage of the fact that it is available to stream.
This feature film in question reached all cinemas 40 years ago, which is said to be soon, by the hand of the great John Carpenter
The plot places us at a time when NASA sends a probe into space that contains a message with which it hopes to establish contact with any extraterrestrial race. It is then that a few years later an alien spaceship crashes into the planet after having managed to capture the message in question. From there it emerges an entity that ends up taking on the appearance of a human beingalthough not just any one.
In reality this being transforms into Scott, the late husband of Jenny Hayden, played by Jeff Bridges and Karen Allen, respectively. After the enormous initial shock that this event represents for her, the mysterious alien will try to learn the culture, expressions, language and way of being of humans while he tries to return home with the help of Jenny, although his objective will not be easy to achieve because the government authorities will constantly search for him.
The role of Jeff Bridges is simply superb because of how he perfectly captures the innocence and way of behaving of someone who is clearly not a human being, although the role played by Karen Allen is also worthy of mention. All this leaves us with a splendid film that focuses on themes based on love and loss
