We return, one more week, to review the messages that you have left us in our official Discord server in relation to the proposed debate. In this case, last week we proposed the following:
What did you like the most and what did you least like about E3 2021?
In general we have seen a lot of understanding towards an event that, due to the pandemic, this year has been exclusively digital and it has been noticed. In any case there are opinions in both directions, let’s see what you have sent us.
Alejandro Espinosa, for example, it tells us the following:
“It would be a bit unfair to judge this E3 too much because it has obviously been marked by the pandemic (almost everything announced goes for 2022). I would stick with the good, because it has been a bit lazy in general for obvious reasons. BOTW 2, Elden Ring and A Plague Tale 2 are the only interesting things for me. The bad, some absences like Bayonetta 3 and more Zelda games for the anniversary. “
The truth is that the absence of Bayonetta 3 after so long since it was announced it starts to be worrying. Let’s keep going. Our reader arelun left us this message:
“A Plague Tale 2 is a surprise. The first is a great game, a shame not to have seen gameplay. Otherwise little surprise, a bit sad that Breath of the Wild 2 comes out next year in the best of cases, all We know that it is going to 2023, Starfield did not show anything and what was shown left to be desired, that they have not shown more of Halo Infinite is a clear sign that it will not look very good. And from Elden Ring I expected a more alive world with some “City”, which on the other hand looks fucking brutal and I have a win over it, although I saw the combat somewhat more casual. Stalker 2 looks very good, let’s see if the Ray tracing looks cool on PS5. And let’s see the conditions of Death Strading on PS5, I hope there is an upgrade option for 5/10 dollars.
On the other hand, it is disappointing that there are no Metroid Prime 4 or Bayonetta 3. On the Xbox side, it is outrageous that nothing from Hellblade 2, Everwild, Fable, Perfect Dark Zero or Avowed. It gives the feeling that it was a sham last year, but that these projects are in pre-production, lies do not go with me with the purpose of deceiving. I understand that a project is delayed and complicated, but that they cheat in 5 projects to give the impression that they work more is ridiculous … “.
On the other hand, this is what it tells us Ari:
“As a conference in itself, I cannot say much since this year was the first one that I did not see. Now, in terms of games, I take the highly anticipated Battlefield 6 and the surprise of Forza Horizon 5. There are other games that are interesting but they are very Green still and they did not show gameplay, as in the case of Avatar and Starfield. Disappointing that GTA 6 has left us another year and we have not seen announcements of Final Fantasy VII Remake for PC, as well as no new content of the next FF 16. From new Zelda I imagine that the nintenderos are waiting for it like May water, but I can not comment much since I do not use that platform. So nothing, for now happy with the return of the military shooter par excellence and see you in the next one! “.
Doc has left us what is probably the longest message so far on the debate channel, so we bring the most relevant points:
“Microsoft -> It was, along with Wholesome Games, one of the best conferences I saw. I was amazed by the number of games that are going to be released in the Game Pass and I think they are playing their cards very well: STALKER 2, Hades, Fallout classics , etc., make acquiring the Xbox Game Pass more and more worthwhile. Halo, Forza Horizon, Perfect Dark … I have a lot of faith also with the purchase that Microsoft made of Bethesda, since the course that was taking the The company just disliked me (and I’m a fan of Fallout since its inception and The Elder Scrolls). I liked seeing that Bethesda opened the conference by showing a teaser trailer for Starfield, I just hope they haven’t gotten too many fingers with the closed date they gave (November 11, 2022) One of the things that made me most excited was A Plague Tale.
Capcom -> I have to say that Capcom disappointed me quite a bit, not because they didn’t do “well”, but because I (and I think many other people) were hopeful that they would announce a revamped Resident Evil 4. Considering the similarities (to my opinion) with Resident Evil 8: Village, especially because of the gameplay and some scenarios, I was hoping to see a remake of Resident Evil 4, with improvements especially in the field of gameplay and with the new RE Engine . Although I have to admit that the setting in an area of Europe that is not Europe and they are paid with pesetas, but typical Latin American expressions are used is fabulous. In summary: although I like that they are going to release a DLC for Village, I was missing things … I was a bit disappointed, really.
Nintendo -> I think we all took for granted that, if the Nintendo Switch Pro had not already been announced, they would not release more than the expected BOTW 2 trailer (which blew me away, all of this) and other well-known titles such as the Mario Party, the arrival of Kazuya to Super Smash Bros, etc … I would have liked to see something from Bayonetta, but in itself I think it was a cool conference, despite the controversial tweet that Nintendo published on the subject of co-streaming his conference”.
Elmasbestgame, for his part, he left us the following message:
“Focusing on the most: see Project Zero on Wii U. In Europe, as far as I know, it only came out on digital, and of course, it is impossible and more these days to find it on sale. And it is a game that called me to try. Seeing that it comes out on all platforms, I hope to try it sometime (PS: on Wii U you have a demo available, those of you who have it).
I didn’t like the Advance Wars reboot. I love the original games, but the graphic style of the reboot seems very lazy; I’m not talking about textures or number of polygons, but about presentation. It looks like an indie. This must be understood in part with the retail price that it has: 59.99 dollars. For 20 dollars I would complain less, of course. And for that price you can buy the original games, and for much less digitally on Wii U. It reminds me of Skyward Sword … Available on Wii U at 20 dollars, and on switch for 60 “.
MrPrince he also wanted to say his:
“I liked Zelda and Forza, as well as Halo Infinite it looks like they did polish it. In general, E3 is still the same as before, with disappointing third-party conferences, and with the greats doing a little better. In this case, Microsoft they take it, but they still don’t put anything groundbreaking, something Sony was an expert in and they were surprised by that, since they did know that the star ads are the important thing, no matter how much they cry, it was smoke. “
We will finish with what he comments Mj:
“Metroid. Especially because it’s Dread, the elusive title in the series that was missing. The only thing I don’t like is the developer, but at least they did well with Samus Returns.”
As you may have seen, there is a bit of everything. Thank you very much for participating, we will leave you a new discussion on Discord for this week. And of course you can follow the conversation in the comments of this article if you wish.
