The fact that Half-Life 2 Episode 3 never came out stuck in the throat for many fans. But here’s something to ease your pain a little. Explanations.
As revealed my box, David McGreavywho is an avid Valve fan and collector just shared beautiful new artwork for Half-Life 2: Episode 3 and other uncharted Half-Life projects, just to add salt to the wound and realize what we might be missing to have.
Artistic half-life
David McGreavy is currently a Senior Producer at 2K, but in his spare time he collects items or works related to Valve. According to Kotaku, the man even has contacts with studio staff to access certain items that are off-limits to the public. And he was kind enough to share some of the scans of his work with our Anglo-Saxon colleagues.
This is a very specific version of the antagonist Dr. Breen, who appears here as an alien worm. PERISH
It’s a devastated coast with wreckage from boats, definitely the kind of environment we could explore in Episode 2. With less urban areas. Surprisingly, McGreavy also shared works that are not about Episode 3, but about a mysterious game about the characters of Alyx and Dog. A new half-life!
We can even spot artwork from Valve’s Stars of Blood space game, unrelated to the Half-Life saga, which has been discontinued:
McGreavy explains: I am a lover of physical goods. However, my goal is to digitally preserve, catalog, and inventory all retail Valve merchandise and employee possessions whenever possible.
It’s here that we can see the phenomenal work behind a video game, even if it’s canceled.
