Dinosaurs used to be a bigger thing in video games. Back then there were even games like Turok. If you are longing for this time or are even a big fan of Jurassic Park, then you should definitely not miss Jurassic Life!
Jurassic Life is a comprehensive total conversion for the shooter classic Half-Life 2 and turns it into a completely new game around the scaled primal giants. As the developers have also now announced, the mod is now almost completely completed. They are celebrating this announcement with a new impressive trailer:
Over ten years of work
The project has been around for a while. The first blog entry on Moddb goes back to 2008. So the team has been busy with the game for a long time. All the more gratifying that it didn't get lost after all that time.
The project has now reached a point where it is, in principle Fully playable from start to finish is. In theory, you can play from the first to the last intermediate sequence without major problems – if we ignore the problem of the carnivorous giant lizards.
So when can you download the mod? At the moment this is not possible at all. Even if the game can be played through completely, the developers still have a bit of work to do. It should not be long before everything works properly. Jurassic Life is scheduled for release in 2020.

What is the Jurassic Life story?
Even though Jurassic Life is visibly inspired by Steven Spielberg's first film, the developers don't just graze on its events. The story should also not strictly adhere to everything that has been established in films or books.
But at least we take on the role of parking attendant Robert Muldoon, who also appears in Spielberg's film – and eventually becomes the victim of a raptor. In Jurassic Life, he has to fight his way through the wild park and also has to deal with large beasts such as the iconic T-Rex.
