Shortly before the weekend, the Epic Games Store is again attracting new, free offers. This week 2 games will be given away again, both of which want to tell pretty dark stories. While Hell is Others sends you into a bloody noir fantasy world, in Adios you make a life-changing decision that could even mean your death.
We will briefly explain to you how the two games work and for whom they are really suitable. And if both titles don’t appeal to you, our recommendations from the Steam upgrade sale might be worthwhile for you:

Hell is Others combines Hotline Miami with Hunt Showdown’s PvP
Genre: Multiplayer-Shooter | Developer: Strelka Games & Yonder | Release: 20. Oktober 2022
To the free game
Actually, our character Adam just wants to water his bonsai. The only disadvantage is that, like all plants in its world, it does not need water, but blood. Worse yet, on our doorstep is the terrifying, monster-infested, maddening Century City, where death lurks around every corner.

Who is Hell is Others for?
With its top-down view and pixel graphics, Hell is Others may put many people off at first. But if you can get involved and have a soft spot for horror or film noir, you can expect a very exciting multiplayer shooter that is also quite popular on Steam. However, Hell is Others is currently lacking players, so Century City could be pretty empty. If you are more into single player, then maybe our current Steam tip is something for you.
Adios
Pick it up directly from Epic & keep it forever
In Adios you find yourself in a situation that is hardly less difficult. However, the adventure does not want to convince with action and horror, but with a dark and thoughtful story. You are a farmer who has been helping the mafia to make corpses disappear for years. But that is over now!
When a longtime friend and hitman brings you another organized crime victim, you tell him you want out. But you know very well that in this case he has to kill you. So you spend the day together on the farm while your friend tries to change your mind – what are you going to do?
Who is Adios suitable for?
Anyone who likes to sit back and experience a short story with decisions and dialogues, but without fights and action, can certainly enjoy Adios. Note, however, that the game is only available in English. The narration goes down fairly well with most reviewers on Steam, and the voice acting gets praise as well.
But if you don’t like the story, there are many other story highlights waiting for you this year. Is there a game for you this week? Do you like the shooter or the adventure better? Write us your opinion in the comments!
