What’s free on Steam, Epic and Co. right now? Also this weekend you can play a few titles for free or even keep them forever. Strategy pearls, action roguelikes and party games are part of the game. So most tastes will definitely be satisfied.
But let’s not waste any more time and let’s get started:
Highlight of the week: Crusader Kings 3

33 million murder plots: Crusader Kings 3 takes bloody stock in the birthday video
Genre: Globalstrategie| Developer: Paradox Interactive | Release: 1. September 2020 | Free to play until: 12. September 2022
The Middle Ages were a fascinating era. Intrigues, incest, religious wars and hundreds of other exciting things make this period so interesting. Crusader Kings 3 brings all these different facets of the Middle Ages together like no other game.
Each round can be different: Do you want to conquer Europe as a cannibal pagan and eat the Pope? It can be done with enough patience! Or are you more interested in strengthening your dynasty and even impregnating your highly intelligent sister? Also possible! Or maybe you die unspectacularly and unpredictably while hunting because you fell off your horse.
You notice: While Crusader Kings 3 is primarily a strategy game, it has a whole load of role-playing elements at its core, and it’s certainly not going to get any less. Matching the new addon Friends & Foes you can download the global strategy hit Play Steam for free for the weekend. Check out the trailer for the DLC below:

Free to play until:
- Hundred Days: Epic’s weekly free offer this time has a little building game ready in which you become a winemaker and create your own winery. If you grab the title in the timeframe, you get to keep it forever too.
Can be picked up free of charge until: 22. September (Here’s the offer)
- Block’Em: In this party title for two to four players, you play colored blocks that can create… colored blocks. Whoever builds and reaches the path to the goal first wins!
Free to play until: 12. September (Here’s the offer)
- Disney Dreamlight Valley: Disney’s life simulation with all the well-known characters like Mickey Mouse, Ariel and Co. was released in Early Access just a few days ago. You can now create your avatar for free, but unfortunately nothing more. By the way, the title is also included in the Game Pass.
Free to play until:
- The Shadow Government Simulator: The title isn’t out yet, but you can check out the prologue now! In this turn-based strategy you try to take over the world with a secret organization.
Free to play until: Unknown (Here’s the offer)
When the title will appear is unclear. Because behind The Shadow Government the Publisher PlayWay is also not yet clear whether it will be published at all. You can read more about PlayWay’s questionable market strategy in our article. We also talked about the publisher in a podcast episode:
