Older video games don’t end up lasting forever, and a good example of this is the ones published by Electronic Arts. On occasion, the company announces the disappearance of its most classic titles And that is what will happen very soon with several installments of the Battlefield saga, as already happened last year with three of them.
This time, Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4 and Battlefield: Hardline will suffer the same consequences. According to EA, this trio of games PS3 and Xbox 360 digital stores to be abandoned on July 31, which means that from that day on it will be impossible to get them again, although this only affects these two platforms.
The company has also pointed out that the same decision will affect each and every one of the downloadable content that they received at the time. As for their online functions, Server shutdown will occur on November 7thHowever, all offline modes will still be available, so those who prefer to play solo will have no problem.
While this is sad news for the longer-running versions of these Battlefield chapters, it’s not all bad news. Battlefield 3 will continue to be available in its PC version and Battlefield 4 y Battlefield: Hardline can continue to be played without problems on PS4, Xbox One and PC, so this announcement does not affect any of these platforms.
