Privacy and security: Canada has decided!
Like the United States and Europe, Canada made this decision to protect itself. The government has even stated that the app is a “Unacceptable level of risk” for privacy and security. Treasury President Mona Fortier even hinted in a press release that the decision had been made “as a preventive measure”
As is so often the case, it is espionage that poses problems for Western governments. And even if TikTok tries to somehow clarify all of its privacy policies, all this is not enough to win the trust of American, European and now Canadian institutions. And the situation of the application will not improve in the foreseeable future, as TikTok boss Shou Zi Chew is heard in Washington on March 23 to speak about the application’s impact on children, as well as the platform’s relationship with the Chinese Communist Party. So understand here that relations between China and the West will not calm down…
