Hellraiser 2 still has issues with players being kicked out of missions by malicious actors, but Arrowhead at least promises that a solution is being worked on.
In this day and age, having lobby leaders in games that can kick players out of their squad if they’re causing trouble is pretty necessary. After all, if someone is just taunting, harassing other players, or doing something similar, then it can really ruin the experience. This is especially problematic in a game like Helldivers 2, which features friendly fire – imagine if players could just go in and kill other players with no penalty. However, Helldivers 2 actually has another problem, and it comes from the ability to kick other players – lobby leaders are kicking people out before the mission is over so that they can’t benefit from the outcome.

There is currently no solution to this problem, but VG.com spotted at least one glimmer of hope on the official Hellraiser 2 Discord. A member of the server asked if players could “keep 50% of the samples, if [they] Community manager Twinbeard shared that Arrowhead is “actually working on a solution to mitigate the problem of, as someone once eloquently said, ‘getting kicked by an asshole lobby leader’. No ETA yet, but it’s coming soon.”
There’s been some drama in the Hellraiser 2 community lately, due to the whole PSN request controversy (which has since been rescinded, so don’t worry), plus Arrowhead CEO Johan Pilestedt resigned. That wasn’t too bad, though, since he’s staying on as Chief Creative Officer so he can spend more time with the team and focus on the game and its community, so overall it sounds like a good decision.
