Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Ubisoft indicates approaching announcement

Does the Summer Game fixed an announcement around the Splinter Cell stealth series? Ubisoft now seems to indicate this via social media.

The Summer Game Fest at the end of the week is getting closer – and thus the most important event in the game industry this summer. Ubisoft will also look there and will then finally have fresh news about Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell.

The developer and publisher has now shown a cryptic picture of protagonist Sam Fisher via the social media account at X, paired with two eyes and a mouth emoji as well as the hashtag #Plintercell.

As a result, fans naturally speculated directly what this post could mean. The comments ranged from enthusiasm to mockery. Overall, however, the chance should be great that Ubisoft promises an approaching announcement. Is it the remake of the first part that was already indicated in 2021? Or is there even a completely new series part in the end? The former should be more likely.

Fans of the series are likely to be happy that after many years of waiting something happens again. This also fits a job advertisement at Ubisoft, in which “gameplay setups that feel unique like Splinter Cell” specifically fits. A level designer is sought here.
