To mark the 7th anniversary of Tom Clancy’s The Division, Ubisoft held a major livestream covering the future of the brand, as well as unveiling The Division 2’s fifth year of content roadmap.
In June of this year, Ubisoft will therefore give the starting signal for Year 5 of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 and then give you another year of fresh game content for the action role-playing game. Starting today, April 21st, you will have access to the new “Descent” mode on the public PC test server, which will be the focus of Season 1.
Said first season is called “Broken Wings” and – as mentioned – will start on the live servers in June. Here you can expect a new variant of search and the new game mode mentioned. The new rogue-lite mode will also be made available free of charge at the beginning of Year 5 and can also be seen in more detail in the trailer below.
You can also expect to continue rebuilding the castle settlement over multiple seasons, which will bring back the ruined landmark with a new purpose. As part of the new Season 1 Premium Pass, you’ll also be able to unlock parts of a Splinter Cell outfit to help Fifth Freedom navigate DC and NYC.
The rest of the season timetable looks like this:
- Season 2: “Puppeteer” – A challenging new heist leads the agents to the Meret Estate, where another confrontation with the Cleaners ensues.
- Season 3: “outpost” –
- Season 4: “Black Diamond” – A new story DLC will be available with this season, featuring new zones, new main missions and a whole new structure for the endgame.
New Manhunts, Leagues, and Events will continue to be introduced each Season. In order to access all new content, you must own the Warlords of New York expansion, apart from Descent mode.
Those who log into the game between April 25th and May 9th can also claim the Resident Evil Leon Kennedy RPD outfit.
