The Fallout series has been delighting fans of post-apocalyptic role-playing games since 1997. Apart from the online RPG decoupling Fallout 76, which has had to deal with some serious problems since its release at the end of 2018 and has therefore met with a lot of criticism.
The last single-player campaign was released almost seven years ago, in November 2015, in the form of Fallout 4, which scored a whopping 88 points (minus one point for various glitches) in the GameStar test, earning it a gold award. A lot has happened in the industry since then, including the release of Unreal Engine 5 to take gaming graphics to a new level:

Are we finally getting next-gen graphics in games?
Fans of the RPG series are eagerly awaiting a sequel for single players. The YouTuber now shows us what a possible Fallout 5 in the brand new game engine Unreal Engine 5 could look like Enfant terrible
in a fancy trailer:

Fan project is not a playable demo
However, the almost three-minute video was not explicitly created as a fan project with Fallout 5 in mind. According to YouTuber Enfant Terrible, it’s a compilation – a collage, if you will – of several projects by different artists. The video material created in Unreal Engine 5 was therefore selected in such a way that it is reminiscent of a scenario that could come from a possible Fallout 5.
In addition to the new techniques of Unreal Engine 5, Nanite and Lumenthe extensive asset library Quixel Megascans, the 3D programs Maya, Blender, Cinema 4D, the image processing program Photoshop and a number of other tools were also used.
However, the description does not reveal whether or to what extent YouTuber Enfant Terrible himself used Unreal Engine 5 to edit the video projects. You can check out real playable demos in UE5 here:
Nevertheless, the trailer gives a very good impression of it, what an actually playable Fallout 5 could look like one day. The graphics also consistently correspond to what can be realized in real time with current hardware and the latest engines.
