The messenger WhatsApp wants to be more for you than just a chat app. To achieve this, the company is constantly working on new features that will be added to your smartphones through updates – often in the form of new buttons.
According to the fan blog WABetainfo The messenger will soon be bringing a new button – and it offers more than originally thought. The new magic wand button was discovered in the WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.24.20.20 in the camera interface.
Behind the new magic wand button: powerful effects for your videos and photos
A similar button for video calls appeared on WhatsApp in June of this year. This allows you to apply filters to the call. This allows you to replace your background in the video with virtual scenes or blur it – this can save you the hassle of cleaning up!
Now you can also use such filters for photos. Among the available filters you will find options for skin smoothing, which help to improve your complexion by minimizing blemishes and uneven skin tones. A so-called “low-light” mode will now allow you to take well-exposed photos and videos even in dark or less optimally lit environments.
The magic wand button is coming soon to your smartphones
The new magic wand button with the features for your photos and videos on WhatsApp is currently available to beta testers. However, WABetainfo marks the status of the feature as “rolling out” and states that it will be available on even more devices in the coming weeks.
