The tactical role-playing game Triangle Strategy has been on the market since March 2022. As Square Enix has now announced, sales are going well. The PC port of the HD2D title is probably not entirely innocent of the success.
As with Octopath Traveler, Triangle Strategy’s chic HD2D graphics are eye-opening at first glance. However, if you look behind the chic retro diorama facade, an astonishingly complex tactical role-playing game awaits the inclined player. As Square Enix has now announced, the title has enjoyed great popularity among buyers since its release in March 2022.

More than a million units of Triangle Strategy have now been sold. The PC port for Steam, which came onto the market in October, is likely to have had a part in this figure. The title was previously exclusive to the Nintendo Switch.
With the titles featuring HD2D graphics and retro gameplay, Square Enix seems to have hit the mark. Octopatch Traveler was already able to build up a large fan base and a total of around three million versions were sold. A successor is currently in development, which is due to appear in 2023.
The strategy RPG Triangle Strategy, which was already released for the Switch, will now also be brought to the PC by Square Enix in October.
