The perfect mix of Rocket League and League of Legends
It’s been making noise since its launch on September 17th, and with good reason, because Omega Strikers has it all. It brings together all the great hits of the moment: it includes the strategic aspect and teamplay of League of Legends, the fun of Rocket League and of course the strength of the gameplay of Windjammers 2. To make all this a reality, the title, currently available on PC via Steam and awaited for iOS and Android, can count on the talent of the developers of Respawn (Apex Legends) and Riot Games. In fact, the latter not so long ago joined the Odyssey Interactive studio, which is obviously responsible for this new project.
Just like Dotemu’s French game, Omega Strikers features fast-paced gameplay all about scoring a goal in the opposing camp. But this time it’s not just one-on-one matches, but three-on-three matches where players can team up and strategize. To reinforce this idea, Omega Strikers features multiple playable characters, each with their own unique abilities and gameplay. One can set up barriers on the ground to better defend his camp, another can send additional projectiles to hinder the competition or better yet, knock out an opponent for a few seconds.
For now, the game offers a total of eleven charactersbut we already know that by November 17th we will be entitled to four additional characters, the first of which will be playable from October 6th.
A totally free game and a small hit on Twitch
This is of course one of the great strengths of this new proposal everything is free to play. Certainly, the title has already earned its small success on Twitch for this main reason. The game has actually peaked at 71,000 concurrent views on the platform.
Finally, note that the game includes some small solo missions to introduce the gameplay but also to earn some rewards like new characters or coins. Of course, these can be purchased for real money in order to then purchase skins or other cosmetic items.
