Two canceled games come back from the dead with these leaks

Canceled, Dead, Games, leaks

Since the graveyard of numerous service games planned for the recently canceled PS5, two titles have surfaced through particularly edifying leaks.

After the spectacularly disastrous crash of Concord, the PlayStation strategy, initiated particularly by Jim Ryan regarding service games, took serious lead in the wing. Recently, Sony's gaming branch has again released many titles of this type that were developed exclusively for the PS5 console. Two of them go again to talk about a massive wave of leaks about them.

Two PS5 exclusive service games temporarily unearthed via leaks

After that, many have seen, among other things, the absolutely planetary success of Fortnite D'Epic Games in video games the new Eldorado in the video game industry. Among these, former PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan wanted to deploy the package on the exclusive console PS4/PS5 based on this economic model. Since then, this strategy appears to have shown its limitations, with the overall failure of a Concord having only twenty thousand copies sold at a development cost of several hundred million dollars. Since the departure of Jim Ryan, and even more so after the Concord trauma, recent cancellations of such projects (including a God service) have been legion.

This is the case in the two games we are interested in here, leaks from a former chief artist working for Firesprite. For now, this PlayStation studio would be working on a new horror game exclusive to the PS5, which could be famous until dawn. The studio was previously working on two more titles under Unreal Engine 5, today HUI canceled. The first was a service game set in a post-apocalyptic universe, possibly related to the twisted Metal License. The second was a battle royale in a typical science fiction universe.

The leaks of these two games for the PS5 thus present us with concept art of weapons and gadgets imagined for the latter. Regarding the first, there are some links with twisted metal. The other mentioned more of a vibrant and colorful futuristic universe. This is reminiscent of a certain agreement. Is it a question of expanding this stillborn franchise with a hero shooter, a battle royale? We'll probably never know since these two games are now owned by nothing.
