After games have already been given away every day in the Epic Store over the years, this week the normal rhythm will continue. So you get at least one game a week for free. This Thursday, the offer is particularly worthwhile, especially if you love strategy games. After all, there are two titles for free, both of which got an excellent rating in our test and received a gold award.

Five years after the release of the main game, the surprise hit Shadow Tactics got a standalone addon. Here the story revolves around the past of the Kunoichi adept Aiko, which we relive in a total of three main and three side missions. As in the main part, Aiko is supported by her faithful companions, who bring their own skills with them, sometimes as a ninja, sometimes as a samurai. Above all, you have to be quiet and not draw too much attention to yourself. Aiko’s Choice offers classic stealth tactics and convinces with large level areas that you can traverse in very different ways.
You can always decide for yourself which skills you use, which environmental objects give you an advantage and whether you act deadly or spare life. This is just as much fun in the addon as in the much longer main game, and in the test there were even a total of 86 points:

Suitable for whom?
While Aiko’s Choice is an outstanding game, it’s clearly aimed at those who know the main game. After all, you are thrown directly into the action and don’t get to know the characters first. The missions also require that you are already familiar with real-time tactics. This includes, for example, cleverly combining the talents of the characters with each other, showing patience and not turning off the PC in frustration when you have to reload a section for the tenth time. Reloading is part of the concept in this type of stealth game!

Test: Kerbal Space Program – Difficult to access, poor graphics, great game!
Don’t be fooled by the cute graphics with cute little aliens. Kerbal Space Program is a hard-hitting space simulation! In this game you are completely free to create your own space program and explore the orbit with it. However, it will take some time before your Kerbals celebrate successes. Before that, you have to spend a lot of time in the workshop. You also have to assemble your own rockets.
This might be easy in a game, but in Kerbal Space Program you really have to pay attention to a lot. One engine too many, one stabilizer too few, and your spacecraft turns into a fiery humming top that explodes high in the sky like on New Year’s Eve in a huge explosion. Sounds exhausting, but it’s a lot of fun! The test gave it an excellent score of 87 points.

Kerbal Space Program im Test
Suitable for whom?
You can potentially spend hundreds of hours in Kerbal Space Program. However, you will spend half of that time learning the mechanics. As I said, there is at least an extremely detailed simulation in it. So, in order to really have fun, you have to be willing to dig into the game for a good amount of time. Simply building a rocket and exploring space won’t work. You need a fascination for technology and physics, but then you will have the time of your life.
