Sam Barlow, the creator of Immortality and veteran of the Silent Hill series, has just announced two promising new horror games. And we are dealing with mysterious productions.
Sam Barlow is a well-known name in the gaming world. In recent years we have some very popular games to thank him for, such as Her Story, Telling Lies and Immortality. The latter also won the “Best Narration” award at the BAFTA Games Awards 2023. And good news, our man is back with a big announcement: he has revealed two new horror games on Steam, Project C and D, and they have piqued the curiosity of as many people as possible thanks to a very specific element.
Project C and D are revealed, making your mouth water
In fact, not much is known about them as the Steam pages reveal almost nothing. Almost all of the information is hidden for a reason, and that’s exactly what players noticed. This is done on purpose, just to give the titles an aura of mystery. Furthermore, Project C and D seem to be closely related if we rely on their name and the images we can see on the Steam platform. But hey, we’re not really making any progress at the moment. Finally, we need to look at the tags to understand what we are dealing with.
Project D will apparently be a third-person psychological survival horror thriller set in 1983. The structure will be non-linear and we will even be faced with Metroidvania mechanics. It’s fascinating to say the least. For its part, Project C will take the form of a horror and sci-fi thriller with… FMV sauce. We will find the cyberpunk theme and play a female character. There is no release date at the moment. We suspect Sam Barlow will give us bits and pieces of information, but it’s a pretty original way of doing things.
