Announced last night via a Two Point County blog post, it was revealed that the Two Point campus will soon receive mod support. As I pointed out in my Two Point Campus review, Academic Management Simulator is the sequel to Two Point Hospital, a vast improvement over its predecessor.
With that in mind, it makes me a little happy to see that Two Point Campus will be supporting mods “soon”. An already fun game that keeps making jokes about teachers, students, and academia in general, is now even better with the support of custom content.
In the blog post, Two Point Studios shared: “In our previous game, Two Points Hospital, we enabled the Steam Workshop to allow players to create their own custom wallpapers, carpets, and more. Point Campus goes a step further, so for the first time ever, we’ll allow players to modify actual items in the game!”
This time, however, the difference is that the two-point campus will not be using the Steam Workshop. Plus, Two Point Studios has partnered with Mod.io to “enable cross-platform modding for our PC and console players.” So no matter what platform you’re playing on, you can enjoy modding in-game whenever you want. This is already a big step up from Two Point Hospital, whose mods are limited to custom content on PC.
“We will be doing the refit in different stages,” the studio said. “The first phase is item modding. If all goes well, we’ll start looking at what we can do with other aspects of the game to give you more ability to tweak your experience in unique and fun ways.”

We’re looking for modders to participate in a small beta soon, so if it’s you, please get in touch!

sounds good! It’s been a while since I was last on campus at Two Points, but no doubt I’ll be back to introduce mods, just to see what additional chaos I can create around campus. Also, as a Sims player, I’ve been very happy with building and customizing each of the different campuses.
Two Point Campus’ mod support doesn’t yet have a release date, but it will be in a small beta test “soon on Steam” with experienced modders. Two Point Studios then points out that if you happen to be a modder, or know someone, please email them and get involved. See the announcement blog post for all the details on how to contact Two Point Studios regarding this.
As for those with more embracing or abandoning the modding approach, the studio also stated that “there will be more to talk about soon”.
What do you think about bringing mod support to the two-point campus? Sure, I’m excited, but would you like to see something else in the game?
