The gentlemen from Ubisoft made a little mistake. Only recently information about inactive accounts that are being deleted made the rounds. Of course, this approach met with little approval from the community, at least the company is now rowing back.
In the past few days, some news regarding Ubisoft accounts caused quite a stir. Because users received emails warning them that their account would be blocked due to inactivity. You can object, but if you are not quick enough, the account and all the games you have bought will be a thing of the past. The fans were not very enthusiastic and now the company is backtracking.

According to the PCGamer colleagues, no accounts will be deleted that contain titles that you have bought yourself. Ubisoft also adjusted the in-house support page accordingly, there are now also specific criteria for deciding whether an account is terminated or not.
Four points are mentioned there. On the one hand, the activity of the respective user plays a role. It is explicitly mentioned again that accounts containing purchased PC games cannot be deleted. So most users should already see the all-clear for themselves here.
Ubisoft also states that the actual length of inactivity is important. This does not even mean logging in via the in-house launcher. Logins from other ecosystems such as Steam also apply. Of course, accounts with an active subscription should not be blocked either.
To cite exact numbers again: According to Ubisoft, they have never deleted accounts that were inactive for less than four years. You will also receive an email warning you of the upcoming termination. Then you have 30 days to object.
