What 2025 is we staying for those in love with strategy games! After “just” 12 years since the launch of the fourth numbered installment (and tons of expansions) Paradox Interactive has officially announced European 5 Under the solemn promise of being the largest and most detailed delivery of the entire saga. Major words.
The new delivery of Universalis Europe is in the hands of the Paradox Rinto team and is committed to not only offering a comprehensive update and revalidating the successes of the 2013 game, but also strengthening key elements such as diplomacy, logistics, and more sophisticated economic and military model. The claim: to be the next great reference within the Great real -time strategy.
Of course, beyond promises and an official name (originally the game was announced How Project Caesar) We are left with an impressive first trailer in which the five centuries that we will have ahead to convert that great game board that is the entire world in our great legacy are reviewed.
A first contact that, by the way, is surrounded by the motto of European 5: “Be ambitious.” A premise that is complemented by the promise of a system options that will evolve so much as our departure progresses, but that will also be the challenges and needs that arise between the societies at stake. In other words, and as Paradox already advances, a strategy appropriate at the beginning may not work so well a century or two later.
The best strategy game of the year? Paradox Interactive always aspires to that award and knows how to win the lovers of the genre. Very recently it surprised us with the commodium prequel, but we cannot forget that, beyond its franchise portfolio, Civilization 7 has already come out and has been updated several times, that Age of Empires 2 will disembark very little on PS5 and Ubisoft will take the saga Anno to the time of the Romans. What madness!
Unfortunately, for the moment European 5 It does not have a release date. In fact, its departure has only been confirmed in Steam, although we do not assume that it will come out in 2025. In any case, in Vidaxtra we are very fans of strategy video games in all its forms, settings and formats. That is why we are not only looking forward to knowing more about the return of Europeanbut also rewrite the history of the Paradox style world. Something that, I already advanced you, is given better and better in your own games.
