As is well known, the horror game Until Dawn is also supposed to be released as a film – and this has now been given a release date. The film is coming sooner than previously thought.
We only recently reported that the film adaptation of the horror game Until Dawn is progressing well. At that time there was talk of a planned release probably in October 2025. In the meantime, Sony has set the release date for the film – and fortunately it’s much earlier.
After director David F. Sandberg confirmed at the beginning of the month that filming had basically been completed, Sony’s Screen Gems has now set the release date for April 25, 2025. This means we are only around half a year away from the Until Dawn film adaptation.
The film adaptation of the horror game was only officially confirmed earlier this year, although it is already almost nine years old. However, the announcement was garnished with the impending release of a remake of the classic, which has been available for PC and PlayStation 5 since the beginning of the month.
It is currently unclear what will happen to the game series even after the remake is released. Members of the cast had recently suggested that there could be a Until Dawn 2, but this has not yet been officially announced.
